Zachary Chamber’s auction funds donated to flood victims
The Zachary Chamber of Commerce featured an auction item at their annual Membership and Awards Banquet this year to raise funds for victims of the 2016 flood. The item, a beautiful wood buffet, was donated by Danette Castello with the Castello Agency.
Proceeds from the item’s sale went into an account created by Louisiana native and former NFL football player Todd McClure, and the Zachary Charity League. Together, they are seeking donations to aid local communities impacted by the widespread, devastating flooding. All money donated through this effort will go to actual flood victims.
Chamber Director, Heather Prejean, said “We were so happy to be able to contribute in a small way to the flood victims in our local community and we were very grateful that Todd and the Zachary Charity League provided an opportunity to do that.”
Donations to the fund can be made at the Bank of Zachary. For more information visit their website: www.bankofzachary.com

The Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors welcomes Kacie Stewart, office manager and owner of Stewart Family Medicine & After-Hours, as the newest board member. Ms. Stewart will fill an unexpired term vacated in November.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Livingston Parish Chamber Board of Directors,” said Stewart. “I am eager to contribute anything I can to promote and assist in the rebuilding of our parish after the devastating events this past year. I have seen the people of this parish come together in an extraordinary way, and it makes me extremely proud to be a lifelong resident and small business owner in Livingston Parish.”
April Wehrs, Chamber president offered, “Full parish outreach is part of the chamber’s plan of inclusiveness. We seek leadership and representation from all areas of the parish to be engaged in chamber initiatives, advocacy, councils, committees and events.
